In celebration of World Biodiversity Day on May 22, 2026, Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) formally turned over more than 3,600 native tree seedlings representing 16 indigenous species from its Punlang Katutubo Native Trees Nursery to Manila Water Foundation (MWF) for a major re-wilding initiative at La Mesa Ecopark in Quezon City.
Conservation Incentive Enterprise Turned Over to Coastal Community in Oriental Mindoro
Pola, Oriental Mindoro –As part of its continuing commitment to community-based conservation and sustainable development, a water refilling enterprise was formally turned over to the coastal Barangay of Misong in Pola, Oriental Mindoro. The enterprise was entrusted to the Samahan ng Mangingisda at Magsasaka ng Barangay Misong (SMMBM), a long-standing conservation partner recognized for its dedication to marine resource protection and environmental stewardship.
