Bulalacao, Coron awarded BEST COMMUNITY-MANAGED MPA at Palawan PEARL Awards
Puerto Princesa, Palawan - The 3,468-hectare Bulalacao marine protected area (MPA) in Coron that Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) helped establish in 2014 was awarded on December 10, 2020 Best Community-Managed MPA at the first Palawan MPAs Empowered through Awards and Recognition to Enrich Marine Life (PEARL) awards of the Palawan provincial government.

Puerto Princesa, Palawan — Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) and the Palawan Council for Sustainable Development (PCSD) renewed on March 12, 2018 a memorandum of agreement to continue its partnership for a program on Integrated Coastal and Marine Resources Management for Northern Palawan.

Calapan, Oriental Mindoro — The Marine Protected Area and Law Enforcement Network reorientation and renewal of commitment held last February 22, 2017 in the Tamaraw Hall of the Provincial Capitol in Calapan City was a crucial gathering of over a hundred resource managers to reaffirm the coastal and marine biodiversity commitment of the 12 coastal municipalities and 1 city in Oriental Mindoro.
