In celebration of its 20th anniversary, Malampaya Foundation, Inc. (MFI) recognized outstanding partners and beneficiaries through its special 20X20 Awards, highlighting excellence in marine conservation, community protection, sustainable enterprise, and education.

On November 24, 2025, Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) was formally recognized as a National Kabalikat Awardee by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) for its exemplary and sustained contribution to the advancement of Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in the Philippines.

Three conservation partner sites of the Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) earned national recognition at the 2025 Para El Mar Awards, securing 1st and 2nd place in the Locally-Managed Marine Protected Area (MPA) category and a special citation for enforcement excellence.

Five (5) of the nine (9) finalists in this year’s Para El Mar Awards – Locally-Managed Marine Protected Area Category are conservation partner sites that we have supported since 2013.

Calapan, Oriental Mindoro—Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) conservation-partner sites in Oriental Mindoro won the top prizes at the 2024 Sustaining MPAs through Awards and Recognitions (STAR) awards yesterday evening.

Puerto Princesa, Palawan—Malampaya Foundation Inc.’s (MFI) conservation-partner sites in north Palawan swept the major accolades and a host of minor recognitions at the 2024 Palawan PEARL Awards which awards excellent Marine Protected Areas (MPAs) in the province.

Malampaya Foundation Inc.’s (MFIs) partner conservation site Ranzo Fish Sanctuary located in barangay Ranzo, Pinamalayan in the province of Oriental Mindoro landed 2^nd BEST-MANAGED MARINE PROTECTED AREA (MPA) at the 2023 country-wide Para El Mar awards, awarded yesterday in Cebu City.  On the other hand, MFI’s other conservation site Maasin Fish Sanctuary in barangay Maasin, Bulalacao in the same province finished 6^th place.

Malampaya Foundation Inc.’s (MFI’s) marine biodiversity conservation program was awarded an Environment Social and Governance (ESG) award by Unicepta in November as “Best ESG Campaign or Case Study to Prevent or Reduce marine pollution.
