El Nido, Palawan--Malampaya Foundation Inc (MFI), Prime Energy Resources Development BV (PERD) and the Department of Energy (DOE) formally turned-over a rehabilitated level 2 water system at MFI's conservation-partner community Sitio Diapila, Bgy Teneguiban in El Nido, Palawan on June 3, 2025. The turn-over was lead by DOE Director Nenito Jariel, PERD President Donnabelle Cruz and MFI Chairman and President Jose Emmanuel Caral.

The upgrade was undertaken with technical support from Manila Water Foundation, labor counterpart from the community and barangay and materials from MFI. The water system upgrade and rehabilitation, benefitting more than 200 households, is part of the community's conservation incentive (among others) as MFI's partner in marine conservation of Diapila's coastal and marine resources, whose 286-hectare marine protected area was established in 2023 with full support from MFI.
