Puerto Princesa, Palawan — Sixty five (65) scholars completed their vocational studies in scaffolding and english proficiency under Malampaya Foundation Inc.’s (MFI’s) Bridging Employment through Skills Training (BEST) in graduation ceremonies held on September 23 and December 1, 2017 respectively.

The scholars are schooled in MFI-partner training centers Technical Development and Career Enhancement Inc. and Puerto Princesa School of Arts and Trades, both of which are located in Puerto Princesa, Palawan.

An effective employment-generation program, BEST was rolled-out in Palawan in 2012 after successes in MFI’s other sites Batangas and Oriental Mindoro. It aims to capacitate youths and unemployed adults in technical industrial skills for employment locally and internationally. Select additional training and workshops are included such as english proficiency, personal excellence and values formation to increase employability of the scholars.
