Puerto Princesa, Palawan - Enforcement and Coastal Resource Management (CRM) workshops were conducted jointly by the Palawan Provincial Government's Office of the Provincial Agriculturist, Palawan Council for Sustainable Development and Malampaya Foundation aiming to strengthen North Palawan local governments plus communities' implementation of CRM plans and understanding and implementation of the country's fishery code, wildlife act and chainsaw act.

The CRM workshop focused on situational analysis on issues and threats, reviewed the roles of LGUs in CRM, tackled the salient points of RA 8550, discussed CRM in various perspectives and presented an ecosystem-based adaptation to fishery management.

The enforcement workshop covered relevant laws such as the wildlife act and the chainsaw act and included situational analysis with exercises and presented the basic paralegal steps. The existence category of various wildlife (vulnerable, threatened, endangered and critically endangered) was likewise tackled.
