The first batch of 58 Palawan scholars for Malampaya Foundation’s Bridging Employment through Skills Training (BEST) graduated on December 19, 2012 after three and half months of vocational course training in welding and integrated construction skills at the TESDA-accredited Puerto Princesa School of Arts and Trade (PPSAT).

Of the 58 graduates, 30 were scholars of Shielded Metal Arc Welding NC II while 28 scholars completed the Integrated Construction Skills-Building Operatives NC II module that integrated essential construction skills such as basic carpentry, masonry, plumbing, electricals and tile setting. All 58 passed the TESDA accreditation and were awarded their NC II certification.
