Taguig, Metro Manila - The Technical Skills Development Authority (TESDA) accorded Malampaya Foundation Inc. (MFI) with a KABALIKAT Award Industry Category for its Bridging Employment through Skills Training (BEST) Program on August 23, 2013 as part of the agency's 19th year anniversary celebration.

The KABALIKAT Award is given by TESDA to outstanding partners engaged in the promotion and enhancement of technical education and skills development, cognizant of good practices and contribution in the enhancement of the country's technical and vocational workers.

MFI's BEST program started in 2006 and has since benefitted more than 1,600 scholars from Batangas, Oriental Mindoro, Palawan and Subic, arming out-of-school youths and unemployed adults with employable trade skills and matching successful trainees with industry employment.
